New Global Skill Standards Website creates On-line Community dedicated to Global Skill Standards, Assessments and Certifications

SkillsNET Launches Regional Skills Initiative in Alliance with the University of Texas at Arlington and the Arlington Chamber of Commerce

Washington, D. C. - October 30, 2003 - The National Skill Standards Board Institute (NSSBi) has launched a new website, www.nssb.org, designed to provide a revolutionary new approach to bridging the steadily increasing skill gaps that are affecting global organizations today. The site, developed in conjunction with NSSBi's partner - the SkillsNET Corporation, was designed to establish a global website dedicated to Skill Standards, Assessments and Certification Communities.

The site will focus on these key communities of practice - Industry & Professional Associations, Workforce Education & Training, Employers, Certifiers, Unions, Skill Standards Practitioners, and Voluntary Partnerships.

The site will also provide information on upcoming skill based events, news releases, and other pertinent issues in the skills arena.

The NSSBi is part of a newly formed organization called Global Skills Exchange (gsX) whose mission is to help global organizations create talent pipelines that lead to a more productive, efficient, and effective workforce. gsX has unparalleled capabilities and experience in the field of skill standards having worked with F1000 companies and government entities for decades. Michael L. Brown is gsX Chairman and is Founder and CEO of the SkillsNET Corporation
